Moscow hosts the 9th Round of the inaugural fully-electric FIA Formula E Championship. As the capital of Russia, Moscow is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations boasting such well-known places as the Red Square or the iconic Kremlin. With just two races left, all eyes are focused on the title battle between TAG Heuer driver Nelson Piquet Jr (103 points), pilot of the China Racing Team, Sebastien Buemi (101 points) and Lucas di Grassi (93 points). Just like in a Formula One race, victory is rewarded with 25 points. Before the Berlin ePrix, the TAG Heuer driver was just four points behind Lucas di Grassi. Due to technical infringements on his ABT, Di Grassi was disqualified from the race, promoting Nelson Piquet Jr. leader of the championship.
The race in Moscow will start on Saturday 6 June at 4 PM, local time. TAG Heuer, proud founding partner and official timekeeper of the competition, wishes all the best to its China Racing Team !
The watch supporting the team is the motor racing-inspired design TAG Heuer Monaco 24 Calibre 36 watch. The "Advanced Dynamic Absorber" system protects the movement against jolts and vibrations. The unique, wide open sapphire case back shows the exceptional oscillating mass resembling a racing wheel and the famous C.O.S.C. Calibre 36 beating at 36'000 beats per hour. As a finishing touch, the oversized "24" at 12 pays tribute to "Le Mans".
